Welcome to Squirrels Class webpage 2023/24.

We have had a great start to our new school year in Squirrels class. We are adjusting to being back at school really well and remembering all our school rules and expectations. Mrs Nash, Mrs Foster and Mrs Spencer have all been so impressed with how we have settled and how hard we are trying in all our learning.

We certainly are persevering pigs! So far, we have enjoyed learning all about our class animal, finding out facts and writing these down into super sentences. We have also created our very own squirrels to decorate our classroom.

In maths, we have been superstars too, applying our number knowledge to sort, count and represent numbers, as well as working hard on our number formation. In PE, we have started invasion game skills and have been working on our ball control, accuracy when passing and dribbling. In art, we have been mixing secondary colours, exploring brush strokes and textured paints.

We are looking forward to starting our Brilliant Braintree topic very soon, where we will be finding out all about Braintree’s landmarks and features and going on a local walk.
